I ran into an issue with the Setup tabs. Most of the ones I like, work fine, but the ones I need the most "Users" and "Permission Set" go to the wrong url. Users for example is going to "lightning/setup/ManageUsersLightning/home" instead of "lightning/setup/ManageUsers/home" and PS goes to "lightning/setup/PermissionSetListView/home" instead of "lightning/setup/PermSets/home". Is there any way to fix this?
ReplyDeleteLove this extension though, especially if that can be fixed!
Thanks for the feedback, the urls in the extension points to the new lightning pages. Will add an option to point to old url as well in the next release.
ReplyDeleteThis urls have now been updated to point to the correct url in Release v1.2.6
ReplyDeleteExcellent extension and a great set of features, however, I was wondering if there was a way to disable the "Tabs Setup" feature and stay with the OOB solution instead? Each tab click reloads the entire page which is a bit of a problem for me at least.
ReplyDeleteSetup tabs disable option will be available in v1.3.2
ReplyDeleteThank you 🙏
ReplyDeleteSeveral modern security and user management setup pages do load into Revamp tabs when enhanced views are enabled. Is there a way to update the Revamp url away from standard pages and to the enhanced or lightning equivalent? Are there plans to update Revamp and allow navigation to enhanced User, Profile, Permissions views in Lightning Setup?
ReplyDeleteSFDC vs Revamp User tab
SFDC page url = /lightning/setup/ManageUsersLightning/home
Revamp tab url = /lightning/setup/ManageUsers/home
SFDC vs Revamp Profiles tab
SFDC page url = /lightning/setup/EnhancedProfiles/home
Revamp tab url = /lightning/setup/Profiles/home
SFDC vs Revamp Permission Sets tab
SFDC page url = /lightning/setup/PermissionSetListView/home
Revamp tab url = /lightning/setup/PermSets/home
Hi Andy, Please update the chrome extension this urls has been updated in v1.2.6
ReplyDeleteIf you go on tab settings, you should see 2 options for Profile, Users, Permission Set and Roles
Example:
Profiles - Old URL (For users who have not enabled the enhanced view)
Enhanced Profiles - New URL (For users who have enabled the enhanced view)
Thank you Sundeer! Here's a summary with my thanks.
ReplyDeleteProblem
The Revamp Chrome extension was not loading "Enhanced Views" for my enabled setup pages . This resulted in navigating to an error pages with standard URLs instead of the enhanced Lightning pages.
This discrepancy was noted for several key setup areas:
Users Tab:
Revamp URL: /lightning/setup/ManageUsers/home
Correct Enhanced URL: /lightning/setup/ManageUsersLightning/home
Profiles Tab:
Revamp URL: /lightning/setup/Profiles/home
Correct Enhanced URL: /lightning/setup/EnhancedProfiles/home
Permission Sets Tab:
Revamp URL: /lightning/setup/PermSets/home
Correct Enhanced URL: /lightning/setup/PermissionSetListView/home
Solution
The issue was formally addressed by the Revamp developer in version 1.2.6 of the extension. The solution requires a one-time update and reconfiguration within the Revamp settings to manually select the "Enhanced" view tabs.
The following steps were taken to fix the issue:
1) Update the Extension: The Revamp Chrome extension was updated to the latest version (v1.2.6 or newer) via the Chrome Web Store (my main problem).
2) Enable Revamp Setup Tabs: The user launched the Revamp extension from the browser toolbar and ensured that its "Setup Tabs" feature was enabled. This step is required for the settings tab to appear within Salesforce.
3) Navigate to Salesforce Setup: I logged into Salesforce to the Setup menu.
4) Access Revamp Settings: Within Setup, the "Revamp's Tab Settings" tab was located and selected.
5) Configure Tabs to Display: The "Select tabs to display" button was clicked to open the configuration menu.
6) Select Enhanced Views: In the list of available tabs, the standard items (e.g., "Profiles", "Users") were unchecked, and their "Enhanced" counterparts (e.g., "Enhanced Profiles", "Enhanced Users") were checked.
7) Save and Verify: The changes were saved.
Outcome
After completing the configuration steps, the Revamp tabs within the Salesforce Setup UI now load the Enhanced View pages as desired. The extension's navigation is properly aligned with the organization's enabled settings, providing seamless access to the correct user management pages!
